the architecture of memory
Over several decades, before acquiring my first digital camera, I amassed numerous 4 x 6-inch analog prints that were out of focus, underexposed, or overexposed; some depicted individuals and locations I can no longer recall or identify. In The Architecture of Memory, I explore the inherent unreliability of photography and memory by obscuring portions of these discarded snapshots and installing them on the wall in relation to one another.
